This week 12 youth and 5 adult leaders traveled to New Orleans for the National Youth Gathering. They are having a wonderful time! There are over 22,000 participants from 48 states, and 580 volunteers from 14 countries. We pray that God would watch over all of the participants, volunteers, and staff during this time. We are excited to hear more about their time at the National Youth Gathering when they return. Enjoy these pictures that we have received from their time there!
Six Flags Daze6/1/2016 Wednesday, June 22nd and July 27th, the youth entering 7-12 grade will be going to Six Flags. We will meet at Bethel at 10am, have a short devotion and walk to the park. We will stay together as a group while walking to/from and inside the park. We will eat lunch inside the park (bring money if you don’t have a dining pass) and return to Bethel by 6pm. Don’t forget a bathing suit, sunscreen, towel, water bottle and your season pass or money to purchase a ticket. Parents are encouraged and welcome to bring younger siblings and join us for these events! (Younger siblings must be accompanied by a parent; a designated, responsible adult or guardian.) Senior Blessing Campout - June 3-4!5/9/2016 Welcome to the graduating class of 2016! We are asking all High Schoolers to join us on a fun filled evening and morning to celebrate the Seniors of Bethel's Youth Group. We will also be welcoming our newest Youth Group members - this year's confirmation class! Afterwards (Saturday afternoon) we have been invited to the Paulson's for swimming!
WHERE We will be camping at Chain O'Lakes State Park in Spring Grove June 3-4. Following this link on where we will be camping: http://www.dnr.illinois.gov/Parks/Pages/ChainOLakes.aspx. WHAT WE'LL BE DOING We will be doing campfires, cooking, dancing, devotions, eating, fellowship and nature walks. WHAT TO BRING We will be camping in tents so participates will need to bring sleeping bags, pillow, sleepwear, weather appropriate clothes. If you are swimming at the Paulson's afterwards bring swimwear and towel. COST This is a FREE event - because Jesus loves all of us! TRANSPORTATION - GETTING THERE Parents - we will pickup a group from Bethel at 5:30 pm Friday evening. Or kids may be dropped off directly at the campsite between 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. TRANSPORTATION - GETTING HOME Parents - kids may be picked at the campsite at 12:00 pm, or at Bethel at 12:30 pm. Easter Breakfast 20163/11/2016 We are looking for helpers to setup (Saturday afternoon 04/26). We also need servers and cooks for early Easter morning and servers, cooks and clean-up crew for later Easter morning. The sign-up sheet is on the Hub. Can't get up that early? How about dropping off some breakfast pastries sometime before Saturday afternoon? We are also looking for Bacon and Orange Juice - grab a donation slip to see what we still need, also available on the Hub.
We are trying something new this year, we are asking breakfast diners to fill in forms so we can get a better idea on how many people to plan for Forms are available - on the Hub (I bet you are getting the idea that there's a lot of good information on The Hub - and you're right!) But what we really want is for you to join us to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. So whether you come after the Sunrise Service, after the 8:00 Early Service or before the 10:45 Late Service - we want to help you celebrate Easter with your families and the family at Bethel. See you Easter morning! Hello Jr and Sr High Schoolers! Sign-up for a ‘mini-Gathering’ at Trinity Lutheran Church Community Center in Roselle, IL on April 8-9. The Crave, as its called is an overnight event as we join a hundred or so young Christians in fun filled fellowship. Cost will be $50 per person. This includes the cost of admission, dinner Saturday night (not included with the admission fee) and transportation Friday night from Bethel to The Crave and back to Bethel Saturday night.

Parents' Night Out Fundraiser2/5/2016 ![]() Bethel's Youth and Family Ministry will be sponsoring a Parents' Night Out on February 13 from 6-9PM. Attendance is mandatory for any youth going to the National Youth Gathering. Jr/Sr. High Schoolers will entertain your young children ages 4-12 (no diapers) so parents can enjoy an early Valentine dinner. Any donations received will go to the National Youth Gathering. 2016 National Youth Gathering2/1/2016 ![]() Bethel Youth are going to New Orleans for the LCMS National Youth Gathering on July 16-20th. The National Gathering is held every 3 years, and allows thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to learn more about Jesus Christ and being a Christian. During the five days of the Gathering, they will spend their time together in God’s word, worship, service and fellowship with others from across the synod.
