Discipleship
At Bethel, our mission is to help people be disciples - life-long learners & followers of Jesus Christ. Discipleship means God awakening disciples from head knowledge of the faith to "heart life."
A "disciple" is one who is walking on the road with Jesus to find out about Him; a seeker of divine Wisdom; a follower of Jesus; a learner; even from the very moment that someone begins asking questions about Jesus, they are on the path of discipleship. |
Mission Opportunities
Mosaic Hub Grand Opening
Saturday, June 4th - 2PM
1645 Lincoln St.
North Chicago, IL
What is Mosaic House Ministries? They are a group of women, men, and children—from all walks of life and from all backgrounds—united around the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
They create space where people can gather to experience God through biblical teaching, fellowship, eating together, and prayer (Acts 2:42), and then go from that place to serve our community in meaningful and tangible ways. Together, we are a discipleship community on God’s mission together.
Why Mosaic? Mosaics are beautiful artistic creations. They are composed of diverse pieces of all shapes, colors, and sizes to create a big picture. Each piece contributes to the whole in its own unique way, and no one piece is more valuable than another. What makes a mosaic beautiful is the varied and unique contribution of each piece. Together, we’re better. In Mosaic House Ministries, They embrace this imagery as a picture of God’s Church. Diverse in background, but united in purpose, they desire to glorify God and do His work. They deeply value listening to one another and truly seeing one another. Therefore, they welcome one another as Christ has welcomed us, so that together we may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
